Introduction to the Ground Motion Service Seminar

We are pleased to announce the successful organization of the public seminar, “Introduction to the Ground Motion Service”, held on September 27, 2024, at the RGNF (Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering). We sincerely thank the faculty for their support and for providing the venue.

This seminar, led by Michele Crosetto from CNNC (Centre Tecnologic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain), focused on the EGMS (European Ground Motion Service), which monitors land deformation across Europe using radar satellite data. The workshop comprised three sessions, covering key properties of deformation measurements from radar interferometry, the main characteristics of the service, product visualization, download service, GIS import, as well as case studies and discussions.

The seminar was highly informative, with engaging discussions, and Michele Corsetto’s clear and insightful presentation was well-received. We extend our gratitude to everyone who attended and participated actively.https://mzom.gov.hr/en

This event was organized within the framework of the EPOS ERIC consortium, where MZO represented our entity, and HGI served as the coordinator for national entities for EPOS Croatia.
