Sub-bottom profiler (SBP) Innomar Compact SES-2000 consists of a main unit and a transducer which is connected to the main unit using a 20 m long cable. The transducer is side-mounted on a vessel and partially submerged in water. Sub-bottom profiler enables the acquisition of high-resolution acoustic profiles through sediments under the bottom of a lake or sea. Sediments with different physical properties and objects on the surface and below it can be well-imaged using this method. The device enables penetration into sea/lake bottom sediments up to 50 m with a resolution of 5-10 cm, depending on the sediment type. The device records and collects data using the SESWIN program. Postprocessing of the data is done in Geosuite AllWorks software.
