Geochemical Laboratory
Within the laboratory, analyses of metal elements are performed using atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS), as well as total organic and inorganic carbon and nitrogen content using a CN analyzer. Within the laboratory samples (soil, sediments, rocks, water, and plant material) for chemical, X-ray diffraction, and particle size analyses are prepared.
Furthermore, it is possible to determine the calcium carbonate content using the Scheibler’s calcimeter, as well as the cation exchange capacity (CEC) with the Cu(trien) complex method on the bulk sample or on clay fraction.
