sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>U znanstvenom \u010dasopisu Quaternary objavljen je rad autora s Hrvatskog geolo\u0161kog instituta pod naslovom Holocene Paleolake Evolution of the Bribir\u2013Ostrovica Karst Polje (Dalmatia, Croatia): A Multi-Proxy Lake Sediment Record.<\/p>\n<p>Novo istra\u017eivanje sedimenata Bribirsko-ostrovi\u010dkog kr\u0161kog polja otkrilo je kako se okoli\u0161 ovog podru\u010dja mijenjao tijekom posljednjih 13 200 godina. Potvr\u0111eno je postojanje holocenskog paleojezera u Bribirsko-ostrovi\u010dkom i \u017da\u017evi\u0107kom kr\u0161kom polju. Analizom jezerskih sedimenata rekonstruiran je razvoj nekada\u0161njeg plitkog jezera, od mo\u010dvarnih uvjeta na prijelazu u holocen, preko razdoblja stabilnog jezera, do sve izra\u017eenijeg utjecaja erozije i povremenih poplava u srednjem i kasnom holocenu. Utvr\u0111eno je da je jezero bilo relativno plitko, s najve\u0107om dubinom od oko 6 m, a njegov razvoj bio je sna\u017eno uvjetovan kr\u0161kim reljefom. Izra\u0111ena je preciznija karta rasprostranjenosti jezerskih sedimenata, \u010dime je bolje definirano nekada\u0161nje podru\u010dje paleojezera. Rezultati predstavljaju jedan od rijetkih kopnenih zapisa holocenskih promjena okoli\u0161a u dinarskom kr\u0161u isto\u010dne obale Jadrana te pru\u017eaju vrijedan prirodni kontekst za interpretaciju obli\u017enjeg neoliti\u010dkog arheolo\u0161kog nalazi\u0161ta Kriva\u010de, koje se nalazilo uz obalu tada\u0161njeg jezera. Istra\u017eivanje na taj na\u010din povezuje okoli\u0161 i arheologiju, te pridonosi boljem razumijevanju \u017eivota prvih poljoprivrednih zajednica na ovom podru\u010dju. Rezultati predstavljaju temelj za budu\u0107a istra\u017eivanja, uklju\u010duju\u0107i detaljniju rekonstrukciju klime i okoli\u0161a tijekom neolitika. Geolo\u0161ki podaci ne slu\u017ee samo rekonstrukciji pro\u0161lih okoli\u0161a, nego poma\u017eu objasniti za\u0161to su ljudi prije vi\u0161e tisu\u0107a godina odabrali upravo to mjesto za naseljavanje.<\/p>\n<p>Rad je rezultat suradnje znanstvenika Hrvatskoga geolo\u0161kog instituta sa znanstvenicima iz SAD-a Sarahom McClure i Douglasom Kennettom sa Sveu\u010dili\u0161ta u Kaliforniji u Santa Barbari te Katherine Freeman i Emmom Hartke sa Sveu\u010dili\u0161ta Penn State (University Park), ostvarene kroz zajedni\u010dki projekt financiran sredstvima National Science Foundation i National Geographic Society. Zna\u010dajan doprinos arheolo\u0161kom dijelu istra\u017eivanja dao je Emil Podrug iz Gradskog muzeja \u0160ibenik, dok je \u017deljka Sladovi\u0107 iz tvrtke Geoda Consulting sa svojim timom provela georadarska snimanja potpovr\u0161ine. Zahvaljujemo Rudarsko-geolo\u0161ko-naftnom fakultetu Sveu\u010dili\u0161ta u Zagrebu na dodjeli doktorske stipendije Ivoni Ivki\u0107 Filipovi\u0107.
