Ove stijene dijele petrokemijske karakteristike s piroklasti\u010dnim derivatima alkalijskih bazaltnih lava nastalim unutar plo\u010de, danas arhiviranim u ofiolitnim melan\u017eima Samoborske gore i Kalnika. Formiranje ovih pre-ofiolitskih piroklasti\u010dnih stijena povezano je s intrakontinentalnim riftnim procesima i odra\u017eava taljevine nastale iz oboga\u0107enog pla\u0161tnog izvori\u0161ta OIB tipa.
