U znanstvenom \u010dasopisu International Journal of Earth Sciences<\/em> objavljen je znanstveni rad <\/em>Biostratigraphy and facies description of Middle Triassi rift-related volcano-sedimentary successions at the junction of the Southern Alps and the Dinarides.<\/em> U radu su opisane vulkano-sedimentne sukcesije srednjeg trijasa povezane s otvaranje Neotetis oceana. Intenzivna tektonska aktivnost povezana s riftovanjem dovela je u ovo vrijeme do regionalne diferencijacije talo\u017enih okoli\u0161a. Efuzivne i vulkanoklasti\u010dne stijene, koje u svom sastavu variraju od bazi\u010dnih do kiselih, talo\u017eene su u dubokomorskom okoli\u0161u, te se proslojavaju s pelagi\u010dkim vapnencima i ro\u017enjacima. Na istovremeno postojanje plitkomorskog talo\u017enog okoli\u0161a ukazuje pretalo\u017eeni karbonatni detritus. Podmorske efuzije bazalta i nastanak bazaltnih hijaloklastita povezani su s dubokim rasjedima koji su nastali uslijed ekstenzije. Kisele vulkanoklasti\u010dne stijene nastale su eksplozivnim vulkanskim erupcijama te su talo\u017eene u dubokomorskom okoli\u0161u razli\u010ditim gravitacijskim mehanizmima. Opisane sukcesije datirane su biostratigrafski amonitima, radiolarijama i benti\u010dkim foraminferama.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Istra\u017eivanje je provedeno u okviru projekta Hrvatske zaklade za znanost \u201eVulkano-sedimentne sukcesije sjeverozapadne Hrvatske i njihova uloga u razumijevanju geodinamike Paleotetisa tijekom srednjeg Trijasa\u201c akronima GOST (IP-2019-04-3824).<\/p>\n
