Istra\u017eene su sve 52 vrste i 14 varijeteta ovih rodova. Istra\u017eivanje je obavljeno na tipskom materijalu iz zbirke Juliusa von Pia-e, uz dodatni obimni materijal prikupljen u Hrvatskoj (Ivan\u0161\u010dica, Medvednica, \u017dumberak, Lika, Dalmacija). Manji broj taksona prou\u010den je na temelju literaturnih podataka, uglavnom vrste iz perma isto\u010dne Azije. Prilo\u017een je veliki broj mikroskopskih fotografija, a za sve vrste i varijetete dane su rekonstrukcije njihove gra\u0111e. Me\u0111u istra\u017eivanim vrstama neke od njih imaju strukturu koja se zna\u010dajno razlikuje od one prisutne u tipskim vrstama rodova <em>Physoporella<\/em> i <em>Oligoporella<\/em>, pa su razdvojeni su u dva nova roda <em>Ardeiporella<\/em> i <em>Neophysoporella<\/em>. Revidirani rodovi, zajedno s novoosnovanim, daju jasniju sliku njihovih filogenetskih odnosa.
