For News: dr. sc. Sta\u0161a Borovi\u0107, editor<\/em><\/p>\n Publication HGI 110<\/strong>, the jubilee edition of the report of the Croatian Geological Survey (HGI-CGS), was released from press. It is a celebratory, extended edition of the traditional annual report. An overview of the HGI-CGS work in the last ten years has been presented, since the publication of the comprehensive book “Croatian Geological Survey 1909 – 2009: Hundred years in the service of the homeland”<\/em>(editors Pikija, M. and Halami\u0107, J., 2009)..<\/p>\n HGI 110<\/strong> includes the foreword of the Governing Board and the introductions by the present Director and his predecessor, gives a concise historical review of the institute’s work from its beginnings to date, the organizational structure of the institute, and describes the core business of its constituents. The whole chapter is devoted to the development of HGI-CGS in the decade past: both in terms of human and material resources. Subsequently, projects implemented at the institute in the past decade are presented, divided into thematic areas: geology, hydrogeology, engineering geology, raw materials and interdisciplinary projects. The final chapters present publications of the employees and events organized by the HGI-CGS.
